Substitute Davis Kasirye’s lone strike is all KCCA FC needed to pick maximum points against new comers Arua Hill away in Arua.

Kasirye replaced captain Poloto Julius who was taken off injured in the 20th minute.

17 minutes later, the lanky forward floated in air to nod home off a flawless cross from Rogers Mato.

The goal meant that Kasirye increased his season’s tally to four goals and is also the club’s top scorer.

Earlier in the game, Mato could have found the lead after dribbling past a forest of legs only to be let down by his final touch in the 4th minute.

In the 10th minute, Charles Lwanga controlled a good ball from Wasswa and laid a pass to Mato who fluffed his effort above the crossbar.

Debutant Derrick Ochan made back to back saves at the half hour mark to deny the hosts from finding the breakthrough.

Five minutes to the end of the opening stanza, there were calls of handball from KCCA FC players after Arua’s Rashid Toha seemed to have handled the ball in the box but the referee Ronald Madanda waved play on.

In the 65th minute, Usama Arafati and Innocent Wafula interchanged passes beautifully. The latter’s pass was controlled by Anaku whose touch was too heavy hence losing possession.

In the 70th minute, Usama laid a ball beautifully to Achai whose long ball was controlled by Kasirye only to be let down by his second touch. The ball rolled out for a goal kick to the hosts.

KCCA FC finished the game with 10 men after John Revita was taken off to receive medical attention.

With this win, KCCA FC maintained the first position on the table with 19 points from seven games.
