Wakiso Giants head coach Alex Gitta claims that he is pleased by the player’s improvement following a poor start to the season.

Gitta said this after his side’s 3-0 win against Tooro United their fourth consecutive win in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Wakiso Giants is now third on the log with 12 points after six games played so far.

“The boys have adapted well so far and are putting the right approach into games as trained which is good,” Gitta said.

“I am happy with everyone including the technical staff and players but we still need to improve as we seek stability in the top flight,” he added.

After conceding 8 goals in two games, we have now let in just once in four and kept three clean sheets something that Gitta is thrilled with.

“Its third game where we haven’t conceded almost equaling last season’s performance and we want to continue doing well in that area.”

The gaffer also heaped praise of midfielder Titus Ssematimba who grabbed another brace, his second in as many to take his tally to four goals in five games.

“He is a great talent and could play an important part in our season. He still has a lot to learn as a young lad but he is such a quick learner who plays according to instructions. The future is bright for him.”

Gitta targets fifth consecutive victory when they take on champions Express FC on Friday November 26th.
