Titus Ssematimba scored twice and Ivan Bogere added the other as Wakiso Giants beat Tooro United 3-0 to register their fourth consecutive win in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Ssematimba scored arguably the fastest goal in the league’s history as he broke the deadlock less than 10 seconds after kickoff.

The midfielder got at the end of Bogere’s low pass to stab home from inside the six yard area.

He doubled the lead 20 minutes later with a screamer just inside the edge after being set up by right back Grant Matsiko.

The score line could have been different at the break had Frank Ssebuufu, Ibrahim Kasule and Bogere not missed good chances.

A forced change at half time saw Moses Aliro replace injured Kasule as we looked to extend lead.

But it wasn’t until the 70th minute that the lads got another goal with Bogere scoring from the spot after Matsiko’s cross was handled in the area.

There were changes with Tom Masiko and Joshua Lubwama replacing the two goal scorers as we continued to pile pressure for more goals.

Pius Kaggwa and Shariph Kimbowa also came on late with the former making his maiden appearance of the season after a long injury lay off.

Kimbowa and Aliro both shot wide when presented with opportunities as the game ended with a fourth successive win.

The Purple Sharks will take on Express FC at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku on November 26th in their next league encounter.
