Express FC will host Vipers SC at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku on Saturday October 30th in what is regarded as the first major test for both sides.

The Red Eagles who will be hosting their second league fixture this season are hoping to keep their winning rythm intact after they picked up their first win of the season away to BUL FC on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Vipers SC won their opening two games against Police FC and Wakiso Giants respectively.

Express FC head coach Wasswa Bbosa serves his last touchline match ban, Erick Kambale returns after sitting out the UPDF FC game while Captain Enock Walusimbi and Godfrey Lwesibawa remain sidelined with hip and knee injuries respectively.

“I am happy we picked up our first win away against BUL FC on Tuesday, we’ve since been preparing for Vipers.”

“We respect them because they’ve been winning games but we also want to win our first game at home and the boys know what’s at stake,” Express FC assistant coach James Odoch said.

Vipers SC on the other hand, targets their third win of the season this season.

“We have used the previous days since our last game against Wakiso Giants to prepare for our next match against Express FC well.”

“So, the players have worked so hard and know the ultimate goal is to win the next game always,” said assistant coach Marcelo Cardoso.

Vipers and Express are meeting for the 30th time in Uganda’s league history since 2006 when the Venoms joined the top flight division. We have won 14, drawn 9 and lost 7 with a return of 37 goals against 20.
