Newbies Arua Hill SC beat defending champions Express FC 2-0 to sign in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with jubilations.

The loss at Wankulukuku on Friday 15th October 2021 ended the Red Eagles’ home unbeaten run. Express FC had gone 17 games unbeaten at home in all competitions.

Arua money bags scored second half goals through Robert Eseru and substitute Rashid Kawawa to stop the reds fine run.

Eseru sent visitors into the lead in 62 minutes being assisted by Alfred Leku to dribble past Isa Lumu and fired past Joel Mutakubwa who had his league debut since he joined the Wankulukuku side

A combination of two substitutes in Rashid Kawawa and Samuel Ssekamate yielded high for Arua Hill SC to seal the 2-0 victory in the 85th minute.

In the 85th minute, newbies Arua Hill doubled the lead through Kawawa Rashid Olu with an assist from new signing Samuel Ssekamate.

Express will be away to UPDF FC on Saturday 23rd October as Arua Hill host neighbors Onduparaka in the West Nile derby on Tuesday 26th.

Elsewhere on the day’s menu, Mbarara City beat Bright Stars 3-1 while Onduparaka settled for a 1-all draw with UPDF.
