Express FC head coach Wasswa Bbosa claims that his side is well prepared ahead of their 2021/2022 StarTimes Uganda Premier League opener against Arua Hill SC on Friday October 15th.

The Red Eagles are targeting to kickstart their title defence on a high especially at home after setting a record of going unbeaten at home last season.

According to Bbosa, his charges are ready to put up a good show at Muteesa II Memorial Stadium Wankulukuku.

“Our preparations have gone on well ahead of the new league season starting on Friday, we have a few injuries in Godfrey Lwesibawa (knee), Arthur Kiggundu and Kiragga Mustapha but the rest are available for selection,” Bbosa said before adding.

“Following our last game against BUL in the Uganda cup, we’ve managed to correct our mistakes but also allow our players to rest, right now they’re fine and I am sure they’ll put up a show beginning with the first game on Friday because they’re focused.”

“Last season we didn’t lose any game at home and that’s the same target we have this time around.”

This will be the first meeting between both sides across all competitions.

Express FC will be targeting to extend their unbeaten run at home to 18 games across all competitions.

Winger Godfrey Lwesibawa is still nursing a knee injury and is not available for selection. Left back Arthur Kiggundu and forward Kiragga Mustapha are also ruled out of action
