UPL: Vipers register comfortable 3-0 win against SC Villa

Vipers SC returned to winning ways following their 3-0 comfortable win against SC Villa in a game played at St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende on Wednesday evening.

Dan Sserunkuuma, Yunus Sentamu and Paul Willa were on the scoresheet to the Venoms back atop the Uganda Premier League.

Vipers had a blistering start as they netted twice in the opening ten minutes and eventually saw out the contest in style.

Dan Sserunkuma turned and fired from just inside the area after collecting from Karim Watambala to open the scoring in the 8th minute.

Moments later, Sserunkuma was the architect of the second as he released Disan Galiwango to set up Yunus Ssentamu who bundled in from close range two minutes later.

SC Villa tried to look for a goal but Vipers was well organized defensively on the day.

Vipers SC third came in the 80th minute when Paul Willa made a powerful run into the area before unleashing a fierce drive into the top left corner.

A win means that Vipers is back on to of the table with 30 points, level with URA FC but with a better goal difference.

Meanwhile, SC Villa remains 8th with 19 points from their opening 13 games.
