Kyaggwe and Gomba will battle for Buganda Masaza Cup glory on 31 October after both sides successfully negotiated their respective semi-final ties to set up a final with plenty at stake.

The two sides secured their places in the final on Sunday, with Kyaggwe eliminating Bugerere on a 1-0 aggregate score before Gomba completed a 3-0 aggregate victory over Butambala.
Kyaggwe held Bugerere to a goalless draw in the second leg at the Ntenjeru Ssaza Playground, safely defending the slender advantage they had earned in the first leg at Bishops S.S. Playground in Mukono.

The result sent Kyaggwe into only their second Masaza Cup final, where they will pursue a maiden championship crown.
Gomba, meanwhile, booked their place with a 1-0 victory over Butambala at the Kibibi S.S. Playground.
Hassan Waiswa scored the decisive goal to complete a 3-0 aggregate triumph following their commanding first-leg victory.
The final, to be played at Muteesa II Wankulukuku Stadium, will mark the first time Kyaggwe and Gomba have met in a Masaza Cup final.

For Gomba, the occasion presents another opportunity to strengthen their status as one of the competition’s most successful sides.
This will be their 11th final since the tournament’s modern era began in 2004, with the side targeting an unprecedented sixth title.
Kyaggwe, on the other hand, arrive with history within reach as they seek to turn their second final appearance into their first Masaza Cup championship.
The stage is therefore set for a contrasting final: Gomba chasing further glory and Kyaggwe pursuing a breakthrough title in Buganda’s premier traditional football competition.
