Uganda’s She Cranes delivered a statement performance at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, dismantling Trinidad & Tobago 80-34 to secure a second consecutive victory and underline their growing authority in Pool B.

Fresh from a composed 59-50 win over Wales in their opener, Uganda returned to the court with ruthless intent at the Hydro complex in Scotland.

From the first whistle, the contest tilted heavily in their favour, with the She Cranes imposing tempo, precision and clinical finishing across all four quarters.

A 19-10 first-quarter lead set the tone before Uganda accelerated further to take a commanding 40-19 advantage into the break.

By then, the gulf in quality was evident, with slick ball movement and defensive discipline suffocating their opponents.

The dominance persisted after halftime, as Uganda stretched the margin to 56-30 by the end of the third quarter.

Goal shooter Mary Cholhok was at the heart of the onslaught, pouring in 32 goals by that stage, while Haniisha Mohameed, Alice Isoto, Racheal Nanyonga and Shadiah Nassanga added valuable support in attack.

Uganda capped the performance with an emphatic 24-6 fourth quarter, sealing an 80-34 victory that ranks among their most commanding displays of the tournament so far.

The result builds on an impressive opening-day comeback against Wales.

After edging the first quarter 15-13, Uganda briefly trailed 31-28 at halftime before rallying strongly to lead 45-39 heading into the final period and eventually closing out a nine-goal win.

With two wins from two, momentum is firmly on Uganda’s side ahead of a high-stakes clash against Jamaica later today—a fixture that promises to test the She Cranes’ title credentials.
