The Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) Champions League returns in emphatic fashion this Saturday, July 18, with a blockbuster Week Six card at the iconic MTN Arena Lugogo.

A packed schedule of 23 bouts is on the slate, blending junior, youth, and elite contests in what promises to be one of the most compelling fight nights of the season.

The evening builds steadily from early afternoon, with action commencing at 2:00 PM through the developmental ranks before transitioning into high-level elite clashes from 6:00 PM.

The crescendo arrives at midnight when the spotlight falls on a high-stakes welterweight main event between Paul Raskara and Stephan Musulube.

Raskara, the flamboyant KCCA Boxing Club fighter nicknamed “Mad Boxer,” enters the headline bout in imperious form, unbeaten in Season Six and riding a wave of dominance.

Known as much for his theatrical ring walks with the Raka Raka dancers as for his clinical in-ring execution, he has become one of the league’s standout attractions.

Confident and unapologetically assertive, Raskara has already fired an ominous warning ahead of the clash, insisting his opponent will not survive beyond the second round.

Musulube, representing Sparks Boxing Club, presents a formidable test despite entering as the underdog.

His only blemish this season came against national team captain Nuhu Batte, and he will require discipline, precision, and resilience to halt Raskara’s momentum in what shapes up as a defining bout in the welterweight division.

Beyond the headline fight, the undercard is rich with intrigue across multiple weight categories.

In the middleweight ranks, Jonathan Wasswa faces Isaac Kasasa in a bout expected to test both fighters’ endurance and tactical discipline.

The featherweight division features a compelling encounter as two-time UBCL champion Moses Kimera squares off against James Japyem, while Innocent Amoko meets Denis Muleme—son of national team coach Lawrence Kalyango—in a light welterweight contest laced with narrative and pedigree.

Muhamed Sserunkuma’s lightweight meeting with Godwin Aluma adds further depth to a well-balanced card.

Earlier in the day, all fighters successfully completed weigh-ins and medical examinations, clearing the final hurdle ahead of fight night.
