Versatile Ugandan winger Davis Ssali is on the brink of securing a move to the Rwandan Premier League, with both AS Kigali and Musanze FC intensifying efforts to acquire his services.

The experienced wide forward has emerged as a prime transfer target for the two Rwandan outfits, with negotiations expected to gather pace in the coming days.

Representatives from AS Kigali are already in Uganda, having arrived this evening to initiate formal talks with Ssali’s management team.

Ssali’s potential departure follows a challenging campaign with Buhimba United, a season that ended in relegation amid well-documented financial instability at the club.

Despite the setbacks, the winger’s individual quality has continued to attract attention beyond Uganda’s borders.

Renowned for his blistering pace, close control, and attacking instinct, Ssali remains a potent offensive asset.

His ability to take on defenders and contribute decisively in the final third has consistently defined his game.

He rose to prominence during his standout spell at Soana FC, later rebranded as Tooro United, where he enjoyed a productive run between 2019 and 2023.

His performances during that period cemented his reputation as one of the league’s most dynamic wingers.

Subsequently, Ssali featured for URA FC in the 2023/2024 season before making a switch to Paidha Black Angels.

His career trajectory now appears set for a fresh chapter, with a move to Rwanda increasingly likely should negotiations reach a successful conclusion.

With both AS Kigali and Musanze keen to finalise a deal, the coming days will be pivotal in determining Ssali’s next destination.
