Under the stewardship of Busiro North constituency member of parliament hopeful Paul Nsubuga, Busiro Ssaza football team will seek to continue it’s sublime form against the embattled Busujju.

The two side meet tomorrow Wednesday, the 30th December at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru in the ongoing Masaza Cup tournament.

The 2019 finalists who white washed Buvuma by 7-0 in Bulange group opener on Monday, 28th December 2020, will be wanting a second win in row to brighten their chances of acquiring a quarterfinal slot to avoid last minute struggles.

Busujju who is facing hard financial and administrative issues are the latest team in Bulange group to report to the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru camp for the 2020 Masaza Cup tournament.

Their (Busujju) late arrival arose from numerous cases of COVID-19 recorded by this team during the testing last week at Bulange Mengo in Kampala.

The 2016 and 2018 semifinalists Busujju will be playing their first Bulange group game whilst Busiro the second.

In the first game, Busiro took an early lead through Hamza Kalibwami brace in the 20th and 22nd minutes. Arafat Usama scored the 3rd in the 34th minute.

Early in the second half, Gerald Ogweti extended Busiro’s lead to 4-0 before Malida Kuteesa scored the the 5th goal in 79 minutes of play.

Usama Arafat and Gerald Ogweti sealed the victory with the 6th and 7th goals in the very final minutes of the game.

Busujju will however bank on the Uganda Cubs (U-17 National team) talents Ivan Irinimbabazi and and Isa Bugembe who joined them immediately after their return from the CECAFA U17 tourney which Uganda won in Rubavu, Rwanda.

Busiro will also bank on talented abd experienced Usama Arafat, Hamza Kalibwami, Gerald Ogweti “mwenda is mwenda” and Malida Kuteesa.

Two teams will qualify from Bulange group for the quarter finals to join the likes of Bulemeezi and Mawogola who made the grade from Butikiro group.
