Hamdan Islamic Secondary School delivered a statement performance to storm into the final of the 2026 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) National U17 Netball Championship, dismantling Kajjansi Progressive 33–14 in a one-sided semi-final encounter on Tuesday, May 5.

Exhibiting clinical precision, defensive solidity, and fluid attacking transitions, Hamdan Islamic underlined their championship credentials with a dominant display that left Kajjansi chasing shadows for much of the contest.

Their emphatic victory sets up a tantalising title showdown against perennial powerhouse St. Mary’s Kitende.

Kitende, equally impressive in their own right, secured their place in the final with a composed 32–12 triumph over Light College Katikamu.

The Wakiso giants combined tactical discipline with attacking efficiency to comfortably see off their opponents and maintain their pursuit of national glory.

The journey to the semi-finals had already signalled the intent of both finalists.

Kitende edged past Madina Islamic Secondary School 25–22 in a fiercely contested quarter-final, showcasing resilience and composure under pressure in a tightly fought Wakiso derby.

Hamdan Islamic, meanwhile, produced arguably the most commanding performance of the quarter-final stage, overpowering Amazing Grace Secondary School 35–18 in a clinical and authoritative outing to book their semi-final berth with ease.

All semi-final fixtures were staged at Our Lady of Africa on Tuesday afternoon, as the championship narrative intensified with high-stakes encounters and standout performances.

The final will be played this Wednesday afternoon at Our Lady of Africa Secondary School.
