The 2019 Masaza Cup runners up Busiro have thumped helpless Buvuma 7-0 in Bulange group opener played on 28th December 2020 at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.

The first stanza which was fully under Busiro dominance ended 3-0 in the favor of Busiro.

Busiro took an early lead through Hamza Kalibwami brace in the 20th and 22nd minutes. Arafat Usama scored the 3rd in the 34th minute.

Veteran forward Gerald Ogweti missed a penalty in the 45th minute. Buvuma defender Sadam Ssemaganda fouled danger man Usama Arafat in the area and the referee awarded Busiro a penalty.

Early in the second half, Gerald Ogweti extended Busiro’s lead to 4-0 before Malida Kuteesa pushed it to 5-0. In the 90th minute, Gerald Ogweti made it 6-0 for Busiro.

Usama Arafat sealed the victory with the 7th in final minute of the 5 added minutes as Busiro registered a fantastic 7-0 win.

The top two teams in this group will join defending champions Bulemezi and Mawogola who already qualified for quarterfinals from Butikiro group.

Busiro seeks to return to the final for the second time in history after losing her first 1-0 to reigning champions Bulemezi in last year’s final at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
