Kibuli Secondary School delivered a commanding statement of intent ahead of the national championships, sweeping both the boys’ and girls’ titles at the USSSA Kampala regional table tennis qualifiers held at Ham Stadium, Nakivubo.

The one-day championship, featuring twelve teams evenly split across the two categories, was contested in a round-robin format.

Yet, despite the competitive field, Kibuli SS proved untouchable—going unbeaten throughout the tournament and underlining their pedigree as the region’s dominant force.

Their authority was most evident in the boys’ category, where Kibuli SS produced a flawless campaign to secure gold without dropping a match.

Mbogo College settled for silver after a solid showing, while Caltec Academy claimed bronze to complete the podium.

The girls’ team mirrored that excellence with equal conviction, successfully defending their title in emphatic fashion.

Mbogo High School finished second to take silver, as Mbogo College secured bronze in a tightly contested race for the remaining medals.

With the Kampala Region set to field six teams per gender at the forthcoming national championships, Kibuli SS emerge as clear frontrunners following their dominant displays across both divisions.

The climax of the regional qualifiers will come on Tuesday, April 14, when the medalists are officially crowned at Ham Stadium, Nakivubo.
