Fortebet Real Star monthly sports awards have nominated nine athletes in three sports categories of football, cricket and golf for December’s best.
The football players include KCCA FC’s forward Brian Aheebwa, Uganda Cubs lethal forward Oscar Mawa and Michael Lutaaya, the Mawogola custodian and skipper.

The golf category will see Joseph Kasozi, Christopher Baguma and Michael Alunga face off,
Whilst, Rachael Ntono, immaculate Nakisuuyi and Christine Anayo battle for cricket accolades.

Brian Aheebwa is currently the Uganda Premier League leading top scorer with 7 in five games. Aheebwa also has two league assists.
Oscar Mawa, was a top notch shining star as Uganda Cubs defended the U17 CECAFA cup and also helped qualified for Afcon finals. He scored six goals with two assists in the tournament held in Rubavu Rwanda.
Mawogola’s custodian and skipper Micheal Lutaaya was almost everything as his side advanced to quarterfinals for the first time in nine years with four clean sheets in four Butikiro group games of the ongoing Masaza Cup tourney.

Joseph Kasozi (Kilembe Golf Club) was 1st runner up with 72, 78,71, 69 – 290, Entebbe Golf Club’s Christopher Baguma was 2nd runner up with 75, 72, 72, 73 – 292 scores and Uganda Golf Club’s Micheal Alunga finished fourth in the concluded Uganda Amateur Golf Open championship held at Kampala Golf Course all behind Kenya’s John Lejirma the eventual champion with 75, 72, 69, 71 – 287 scores.

In Cricket, Rachael Ntono (Aziz Damani) had 50 runs in four innings to take the batsman of the series, Immaculate Nakisuuyi (Aziz Damani) emerged the best fielder with five dismissals whilst, Christine Anayo scored 18.4 points, and 8 wickets for Soroti Challenger Cricket Club in the recently concluded Women Cricket T20 Elite League at Lugogo.
Real Stars will award best in each category on Tuesday 28th December 2020 at a venue to be announced.
