Kibuli Secondary School have emphatically sealed their place in the Round of 16 at the ongoing 2026 Uganda Muslim Education Association (UMEA) Solidarity Games in Mbale, delivering a flawless group stage campaign marked by discipline, dominance, and defensive solidity.
The Kampala-based side navigated Group F without tasting defeat, registering three wins and a draw to amass ten points while remarkably conceding no goals.
Their authority was underlined on day two with a resounding 6-0 demolition of Nakaloke Secondary School, before settling for a goalless stalemate against Hamdan Islamic Secondary School to confirm their knockout berth.
In that commanding victory over Nakaloke, Reagan Nyanzi struck twice, while midfielder Joshua Aronda, Ian Mutagubya, Isaac Kizza, and Hussein each found the back of the net in a ruthless attacking display.
Kibuli later wrapped up their group stage engagements with another goalless draw against Hamdan Islamic, a result sufficient to guarantee progression.
Their campaign had begun in equally convincing fashion on day one, where they secured back-to-back victories—edging Bilal Islamic Secondary School 1-0 before dispatching Mende Kalema 3-0.
These results cemented Kibuli’s position at the summit of Group F.
Joining them in the knockout phase from the same group are the much-improved Bilal Islamic Secondary School, who finished second with five points.
Elsewhere, reigning champions Masaka Secondary School asserted their pedigree by topping Group A with ten points, with Kakungulu Memorial trailing closely behind on nine to also advance.
In Group B, Bulo Parents Secondary School led the standings with ten points, followed by Buziga Islamic Secondary School on seven, as both secured progression.
Group C saw Mbogo Mixed Secondary School collect ten points to finish top, while Namagabi Secondary School advanced as runners-up with five points.
Kawempe Muslim Secondary School dominated Group D with ten points, with Kasawo Secondary School claiming second place on seven to complete the knockout lineup from the group.
With four group stage matches still pending, anticipation builds ahead of the official release of the Round of 16 fixtures, scheduled for tomorrow morning.
The knockout matches will commence immediately, paving the way for quarter-final action later in the afternoon.
The tournament will reach its climax on Monday, 6th April, with both the semi-finals and final slated to take place at Mbale City Stadium.
