Holders St. Noa Girls’ Secondary School – Zana will once again face Standard High School – Zzana (STAHIZA) in a highly anticipated final of the 2026 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Aggrey Sub-Zone girls’ football championship.

The two sides emerged as the top contenders from a four-team round-robin tournament, finishing first and second respectively to secure their places in the decisive showdown.

The final is slated for Friday, 27th March at the Africa Bible University (ABU) grounds in Lubowa.

St. Noa, reigning champions at Aggrey Sub-Zone, Wakiso District, national, and East African levels, delivered a flawless campaign, winning all three of their matches to top the group with a perfect nine points.

Their campaign began with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Aidan College, where Patricia Nayiga calmly converted from the penalty spot to secure maximum points.

They then asserted dominance in the much-anticipated Zzana derby, defeating arch-rivals STAHIZA 2-0. Goals from Rebecca Nyakake and Marion Serenge ensured St. Noa claimed local bragging rights in convincing fashion.

The Zana giants capped off their group stage with a commanding 6-0 demolition of Aggrey Memorial. Hirat Nakawala starred with a hat-trick, while Faith Nalwadda added a brace and Mariam Nabirye also found the back of the net to complete a ruthless performance.

Despite falling short against St. Noa, STAHIZA showed resilience to secure second place with two wins from three matches.

They opened their account with a convincing 3-0 victory over Aggrey Memorial, inspired by Marion Ezabella’s brace and a goal from Martha Mukisa.

Their qualification was sealed in a tense final group fixture, where they edged Aidan College 1-0 in a winner-takes-all encounter for second place.

Lilian Asiyanzu netted the decisive goal to confirm STAHIZA’s place in the final.

This upcoming clash marks St. Noa’s remarkable 11th consecutive Aggrey Sub-Zone final appearance, having won each of the previous 10 editions—a testament to their sustained dominance at this level.
