UCU Canons dominate UMU Flames in NBL encounter
Uganda Christian University (UCU) Canons secured a convincing 79-64 victory over Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) Flames in the National Basketball League at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Sunday evening.

The Canons started strong, with Jimmy Otim scoring the game’s first points with a driving layup. They maintained their lead throughout, with Daniel Munganzi’s 3-point jumpshot in the second quarter extending their advantage to 18 points (44-26) at halftime.

The Canons continued to dominate in the third quarter, with Agot Agot capping the period with a 3-point shot, leaving the Flames trailing by 24 points.

Although the Flames mounted a late challenge, the Canons’ strong performance proved too much, and they ran away with 15 points in the final quarter.

Jimmy Otim (21 points), Daniel Muganzi (13 points), and Ekirapa Zachariah (12 points) led the Canons’ scoring chart, while Agot Agot (16 points), Joshua Duallo (11 points), and Micheal Opwonyo (10 points) topped the Flames’ scoring chart.
