Express FC has appointed Robert Lubega as its new Head of Communications, a move aimed at stabilizing the club and reconnecting with its fan base.
The appointment follows a recent fan boycott and a string of poor results, which prompted a meeting between club leadership and supporters at War Memorial Stadium, Nakivubo.
Lubega, a primary school teacher with extensive experience in youth football administration and sports organization, replaces Mugerwa Jeremiah, who moved to FUFA’s Licensing Department.
The club has also resolved to end the fan boycott and streamline recruitment and player contracts.
“His elevation to the communications role was confirmed following an Executive Committee meeting held over the weekend at Ham Stadium, Nakivubo,” said one of the club officials.

Lubega’s appointment comes at a critical juncture, with Express FC seeking to improve its fortunes on and off the pitch, currently sitting 10th in the league table with 16 points.
