KCCA Netball Club has strengthened its squad with the signing of Uganda Netball star Margaret Baagala, who has joined the reigning champions from National Insurance Corporation (NIC) Netball Club.

Baagala, one of Uganda’s finest centre players, brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the team, having helped NIC secure a National Netball Super League title and four East Africa Netball Championships during her five-year stint.

The transfer marks a significant coup for KCCA, who have bolstered their squad with Baagala’s addition, joining an already talented roster featuring Shadia Nassanga, Mercy Batamuliza, and Brenda Nakazibwe.

Baagala’s experience and composure will be key assets as KCCA aims to defend its title in the upcoming season.

Baagala’s move is reminiscent of the 2019 transfer of Stella Oyella from Prisons Netball Club to NIC, which was a major talking point in Ugandan netball.
