Uganda Cranes striker Steven Dese Mukwala has confirmed his departure from Tanzanian giants Simba SC, citing disagreements over his role in the club.
Mukwala, who joined Simba in June 2024 from Asante Kotoko, played 24 games and scored 13 goals for the Tanzanian side.
“𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐚 𝐬𝐜 🙏. 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐨ries 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 ❤️. 𝐓𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐰𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧. 𝐁𝐲𝐞,” Mukwala wrote on his social media accounts.

Reports suggest Simba wanted to loan Mukwala to Gor Mahia in Kenya, but the player declined.
With the signing of Libasse Gueye and Clatous Chama’s return, Simba reportedly felt Mukwala was surplus to requirements.
Mukwala might be headed to Libya to join Al Nasr Bengazi.
