The stage is set for a thrilling conclusion to the 2025 boxing season, with the Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) unveiling the championship belts that will be awarded to winners at the Boxing Champions League finals on Boxing Day at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony in Kamwokya, UBF president Moses Muhangi hailed the steady growth of the league, citing improved competition, rising boxer welfare, and enhanced presentation of the sport.

“This year’s competition has been intense and highly competitive.

The quality of boxing continues to improve, and the belts reflect the value and prestige we want to attach to our champions,” Muhangi said, adding that boxing remains one of Uganda’s top sports disciplines.

The 30 confirmed fights promise an action-packed evening, with each participating boxer receiving a match-day token of Shs150,000 to motivate them.

The main event features national team boxers Farahat Manirola and Innocent Amoko, a clash expected to draw massive attention from boxing fans.

The full fight card includes bouts in various weight categories, pitting top boxers against each other in a bid to claim the coveted championship belts.
