Ephraim Mujabi, the newly appointed Bugema University head coach, will look to build on his side’s dominant opening performance when they face off against favored hosts Uganda Christian University (UCU) in a highly anticipated match day two clash on Saturday.

Speaking after Bugema’s emphatic 40-19 thrashing of Gulu University in the Group C opener on Friday, Mujabi hinted at his team’s ambitions, “Respect them. But as Bugema, we are going to display our best game because our immediate target is to make it out of the group.”

They continued to dominate the second quarter, stretching their advantage to seven goals by halftime, 19-12.

The third quarter proved decisive, with Bugema scoring 12 goals while holding Gulu to just four, effectively sealing the win.
