Carter anchored Scotland’s innings, while Megan McColl added a lively 32.

Uganda’s bowling was disciplined, with Janet Mbabazi taking 3 for 17 and Immaculate Nakisuuyi and Concy Aweko keeping things tight.

In response, Uganda’s chase started badly, but Esther Iloku (24) and Nakisuuyi (36) steadied the innings. Nakisuuyi’s departure stalled the momentum, and Scotland’s bowlers sealed control.

Priyanaz Chatterji and Abtaha Maqsood each took two wickets.

Captain Janet Mbabazi reflected on the match, praising her team’s effort and Scotland’s composure.

“Well done to the team, they’re amazing. We’ve played them before and most of us look up to their players, they’re a really great side but tough luck to my team, we just didn’t get that second partnership to build pressure on the bowlers,” she said.

Uganda will face Namibia on Friday, November 21, at the same venue, with play starting at 9:45am (EAT).
