In a significant development, Uganda Premier League side Kitara FC has announced the return of Deo Kasozi as the Club President for the next three years.

The announcement was made during a media briefing held at the Grand Imperial Hotel in Kampala, marking a new chapter for the club.

Kasozi’s return comes after a four-month interim period led by Godfrey Nyaika, who cited his busy schedule as the reason for stepping aside.

Kasozi expressed gratitude to the executive for entrusting him with another term, promising to serve wholeheartedly and drive the club to greater success.

“I’d like to express my gratitude to the Kitara executive for giving me another chance to lead the club.

This time around, I’m committed to serving with dedication and passion, and I’m determined to help the team achieve even greater success.” – Deo Kasozi.

During his previous tenure, Kasozi led Kitara FC to notable victories, including the Uganda Cup and participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.

His experience and leadership skills are expected to propel the club to new heights.

As part of the club’s leadership restructuring, Geoffrey Bamwenda has been appointed Vice President in charge of fans’ mobilization.

Kasozi’s return is seen as a boost to the club’s efforts to build on past successes and achieve long-term sustainability.

Upon his return, Kasozi emphasized his commitment to ensuring the club’s continued growth and success.

He highlighted the importance of building the club as an institution and leveraging the newly constructed Hoima City Stadium as their new home.
