Uganda Cranes midfielder Taddeo Lwanga has made a triumphant return to Uganda Premier League side Vipers SC, rejoining the club six years after leaving to pursue a career in Egypt with Tanta FC.
Lwanga expressed his delight in returning to the club, citing his eagerness to compete and contribute to the team’s success.
“I’m proud to have signed for Vipers SC again,” Lwanga said in a statement to Vipers media.
“I want to compete, push for titles, and contribute on and off the pitch. This is a full-circle moment for me, and I’m grateful to come back to a place I call home.”
Lwanga’s return marks a significant coup for Vipers SC, who will benefit from his experience, leadership, and winning mentality.
Since leaving Vipers SC, Lwanga has gained valuable experience playing for clubs in various countries, including Tanta FC (Egypt), Simba SC (Tanzania), Arta Solar 7 (Djibouti), and APR FC (Rwanda).
His return to Vipers SC will undoubtedly bolster the team’s midfield, particularly as they prepare to take on the challenge of the CAF Champions League.
As a holding midfielder, Lwanga will face stiff competition from Marvin Youngman, Paul Mbowa, and Frank Katongole.
