The win not only showcased Kenya’s growing football prowess but also cemented their place on the continental stage.

DR Congo, despite dominating possession and creating scoring opportunities, failed to capitalize, extending their winless run in the competition to five matches.

Kenya’s next challenge will be against Angola on Thursday, while DR Congo will look to bounce back against Morocco.
