The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) National Ball Games II Netball championship has entered its second day, with thrilling matches played at Tororo Girls Secondary School.

Last year’s finalists, Buddo SS, got off to a strong start with a convincing 55-07 win over Mbale SS in their first game of the tournament.

Defending Champions Continue to Dominate
Defending champions St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School-Kitende continued their winning streak with a 31-11 victory over Kalisizo, registering their second successive win at the tournament.

St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana also registered their second win with a 28-17 victory over Sseke SS, following their nail-biting 23-17 win over Kajjansi Progressive in the opener.

Other Notable Wins
Fast-rising Greenlight Islamic Secondary School Nansana started their tournament journey with a 31-13 triumph over Kibatsi, while last year’s FEASSA finalists Kawanda SS extended their unbeaten run with a second 38-10 win over Nyamitanga.

The tournament will continue tomorrow after a break for today’s official opening ceremony due to this afternoon at King George Stadium in Tororo town.

This year’s edition will climax on 19th July.
