After a 4-1 CECAFA zonal U-20 AFCON qualifiers final victory for Uganda Hippos, it’s confirmed Uganda has won six trophies in the region.

Najib Yiga, Steven Sserwadda, Ivan Bogere and Aziz Kayondo were on target as Uganda Hippos boosted FUFA’S trophy cabin.

Uganda is currently the reigning champion for U15 (boys), U17 boys and girls, U-20 (men), CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup and KCCA FC hold the CECAFA club championship (Kagame Club) cup.

Despite a variety of talent, the football structures laid by the mother body continue to spice ingredients in Uganda teams’ performances.

The Uganda Hippos will feature at the continental U-20 pinnacle championship set to be held in February to March in Mauritania.

The 2021 U-20 AFCON final tournament is also a world Cup qualifiers tournament too.

The semifinalists in the AFCON finals will represent Africa at the forthcoming FIFA World Cup finals set to be held in June 2021 in Indonesia.
