The fourth round of the 2025 National Rally Calendar, the Bugerere Stabex EMC Rally, officially began on Thursday, July 10th, with a scrutineering exercise at Across the Nile Resort.

The event brought together forty crews, including top drivers such as three-time National Rally Champion Ronald Ssebuguzi, Ponsiano Lwakataka, Duncan Mubiru Kikankane, and Nasser Mutebi.

A Highly Anticipated Event

The scrutineering ceremony was officiated by dignitaries, including representatives from KCB bank Uganda, Hon. Amos Lugoloobi, Stabex officials, and EMC President Kagolo Kees.

The ceremony marked the beginning of the highly anticipated event, which promises to be an exciting competition.

The main rally will start this Friday morning in Jinja and head to Kayunga on Saturday, where the crews will navigate through challenging terrains, showcasing their driving skills and endurance.

Current Standings

With three rounds contested so far, Ronald Ssebuguzi now leads the national rally championship, albeit without winning a round.

Sebuguzi holds a slim lead of 9.5 points over newly promoted Musa Ssegabwe, who is determined to challenge for the top spot.

The provisional drivers’ standings are as follows:

– Ronald Ssebuguzi – 142 points

– Musa Ssegabwe – 132.5 points

– Ponsiano Lwakataka – 117 points

– Duncan Mubiru – 115 points

– Didas Masiko – 112 points

– Yasin Nasser – 110 points

– Aine Sodo – 102.5 points

 

A Thrilling Event Ahead

The Bugerere Stabex EMC Rally is expected to be a thrilling event, with fans eagerly waiting to see who will emerge victorious.

With four rounds remaining in the championship, the competition is set to intensify, and the drivers will need to push themselves to the limit to secure the top spot.
