In a nail-biting contest, Park FC emerged victorious, defeating Mengo City 7-6 to reclaim the Futsal Super Cup.

Despite Mengo City’s impressive credentials as betPawa Futsal Super League champions and reigning Futsal Uganda Cup holders, Park FC dominated the early stages.

Joshua Aziku broke the deadlock in the 4th minute and doubled the lead a minute later after a goalkeeping error by Paulo Baguma.

Park FC’s captain, Shafiq Mulangira, extended the lead to 3-0 with a tap-in, and Michael Abura made it 4-0 with a quick reaction to Abasi Muluya’s powerful free-kick.

Mengo City pulled one back through Abdulkarim Tebera in the 15th minute, but Aziku’s stunning first-half hat-trick sent Park FC into the break with a commanding 5-1 lead.

The second half saw Mengo City mount a valiant comeback, with Tebera converting a penalty and John Musasizi scoring to reduce the deficit to 5-3.

However, Park FC responded swiftly, with Muluya striking twice in quick succession to extend the lead to 7-3.

Mengo City’s captain, Male Anthony, reignited their hopes with a fine goal, and goalkeeper Stuart Kafuluma produced a remarkable cameo, scoring from open play and converting a penalty to make it 7-6.

Despite the dramatic late push, Park FC held firm to secure the victory and reclaim the Super Cup.

As winners, Park FC received UGX 1,000,000 courtesy of betPawa Uganda.
