USSSA National Girls Football Tournament Reaches Knockout Stage

The 2025 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) National girls football tournament has progressed to the knockout stage, featuring thrilling matches that promise to keep fans on the edge of their seats.

St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana topped their group with six points, courtesy of a 3-0 win over Highway Kiganda in their final group match.

Sumayiah Nalumu, Winnie Kabugho, and Imelda Kasemire scored the crucial goals for the reigning East African champions.

In the round of 32, St. Noa will face Jinja Progressive, while defending champions Kawempe Muslim Secondary School will take on Bishop Comboni.

Other notable fixtures include Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga vs Moyo Star, hosts Bukedea Comprehensive vs Boni Consilii, and Amus College School vs Mukono Kings.

Amus College has been impressive, scoring a record 22 goals in three matches without conceding a single goal.

Last year’s finalists Rines SS, who led group P, will battle Nyabubare SS.

The round of 16 fixtures are as follows:
