Kibuli SS and Masaka SS Set for UMEA Solidarity Games Final Showdown

The semifinals of the UMEA Solidarity Games have yielded thrilling results, with Kibuli SS and Masaka SS emerging as finalists.

Kibuli SS overcame hosts Namagabi SS 2-1, thanks to goals from AbduRahim Wasswa Kibeesi and Twahar Kyeyune. Lozio Lubaga scored a consolation goal for Namagabi SS.

In the other semifinal, defending champions Masaka SS dominated a ten-man Kawempe Muslim 2-0, with Shabir Lubega and Peter Matovu scoring the decisive goals.

Kibuli SS had earlier secured their semifinal spot by defeating Bulo Parents 4-3 in a penalty shootout, following a 1-1 draw.

Kawempe Muslim had edged out Kyadondo SS 1-0 in a closely contested match.

The final match will be played in the evening at Namagabi SS grounds, with Kibuli SS facing off against Masaka SS. The awarding ceremony will follow the match.

The journey to the final for both teams has been impressive. Kibuli SS eliminated Kasana Vocational’s affiliate teams in previous rounds, while Masaka SS won 3-0 over Central College Kabimbiri in the quarterfinals.

The stage is set for an exciting final match between Kibuli SS and Masaka SS.
