The penalty shootout was intense, with both teams showing exceptional skill and nerves of steel.

However, Mbalire Mujad’s missed penalty for Masaka SS and Joshua Aronda and AbduRahim Waisswa Kibeesi’s missed penalties for Kibuli SS ultimately decided the outcome.

Kibuli SS had made a strong run to the final, overcoming hosts Namagabi SS 2-1 in the semifinals, thanks to goals from AbduRahim Wasswa Kibeesi and Twahar Kyeyune.

Masaka SS, on the other hand, dominated Kawempe Muslim 2-0 in the other semifinal, with Shabir Lubega and Peter Matovu scoring the winning goals.

The journey to the final for both teams was impressive, with Kibuli SS defeating Bulo Parents 4-3 in a penalty shootout and Masaka SS winning 3-0 over Central College Kabimbiri in the quarterfinals.

The 37th edition of the UMEA Solidarity Games, which started on April 17th at Namagabi Secondary School in Kayunga District, has come to a close, with Masaka SS emerging as the champions once again.
