The quarterfinals of the 37th edition of the UMEA Solidarity Games have produced some remarkable results, with Greenlight Islamic Secondary School Nansana, Kaddugala, Kibuli, and Hamdan emerging as semifinalists.

Greenlight Islamic, the favorites, eliminated hosts Namagabi SS 23-17 in a closely contested quarterfinal match, setting up a thrilling semifinal encounter with Kaddugala SS.

Kaddugala had earlier defeated Ngando SS 23-18 in the quarterfinals, after knocking out Amity SS 29-20 in the previous round.

In a major upset, Hamdan Islamic defeated defending champions Kawanda SS 26-23, earning a semifinal spot against Kibuli SS.

Kibuli had edged out Gombe SS 17-16 in a nail-biting quarterfinal match.

The semifinals will take place on Monday, April 21st, with the winners advancing to the final.

The final will be played later in the afternoon, promising an exciting conclusion to the 37th edition of the UMEA Solidarity Games.

The semi-final matches are scheduled as follows:

1. Greenlight Islamic vs Kaddugala SS

2. Hamdan Islamic vs Kibuli SS
