Standard High School-Zzana (STAHIZA) has made a resounding statement in the 2025 Wakiso District Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) National boys football tournament qualifiers.

The Zana-based giants convincingly defeated Agrey Memorial 5-1 in the Agrey Zone Group B opener at Aiden College grounds, showcasing their prowess and intent to dominate the competition.

Star player Mahad Lukwata, a Senior Four student, stole the show with a phenomenal man-of-the-match performance.

Lukwata’s exceptional skills, pace, and vision for goal were on full display as he scored once and provided two assists, playing a crucial role in four of STAHIZA’s five goals.

Benon Lutaaya’s brace, coupled with goals from Ben Gatweki and Juma Mugisha, sealed the emphatic victory for STAHIZA.

Mahad Muteekanga, who provided the assist for Mugisha’s goal, was another standout performer for STAHIZA.

Despite their impressive display, STAHIZA is yet to win the National boys football championship, having fallen short in the finals on four occasions.

In other matches, Greenlight and Penron played out a 1-1 draw, with Simon Peter Baka equalizing for Greenlight to cancel out Ema Ochen’s early strike.

Meanwhile, Zana Mixed Secondary School thrashed St. Mary’s High School-Katale 7-0, and Agro Links secured a 2-0 win against Hammz.
