Edgar’s Youth Program coach, Adam Masembe, remains proud of his team despite losing seven consecutive games in the Betpawa Futsal Super League.

After a 8-3 loss to Mengo City, Masembe highlighted positives, saying his team’s performance indicates improvement.

“When I see my team playing, it indicates signs of improvement.

Though we want to win games, which is not coming right now, there are many positives in our games.

I am sure this season we are much better than last season, and playing here has made us a strong team in 11-aside.”

He attributed the losses to adapting to a new playing style, which he believes will yield results soon.

“We are instructing a new playing system, and I strongly believe that the team is getting used to it.

We will reach the time and start winning games, with the goalkeeper adding more load to the opponent, and there we will be a dangerous side.”

Masembe further praised his goalkeeper, Charles Okello, who scored the team’s first-ever lead this season.

Week 7 of the league saw 33 goals scored across six games, with Farouk Tumwesigye named best player of the round after scoring four goals.

Despite the losses, Masembe remains optimistic about his team’s chances this season.

Match Day 7 Results:

– Quality Controller Mbarara 0-1 Kabowa Dream Team

– Park FC 4-0 Nansana Aska

– Lubaga Grameen 3-4 Kisugu FC

– Crown Lubiri 5-2 Busunju Spaks

– Mengo City 8-3 Edgar’s Youth Program
