Fresh from winning the Grand Nairobi Bike Race in late September, Kawempe Cycling Club captain Aziz Ssempijja added a Masaza Gold medal to his archives.

Aziz Ssempijja emerged the champion in the 70km race of the third Masaza Cycling Tour Grand Finale at Ring Road (Lubiri).

The victory led him to emerge as the overall winner in road bikes of the year 2024 after four series.

While speaking to the media, Ssempijja attributed his success to hard work, support from the club management and teammates.

“The victory has not come by mistake.

 It has been a hard work and continued training. We have trained as a team going through the route every now and then.” Aziz Ssempijja.

Kevin Nakato was the overall winner of the season in road bikes Women category.
