St. Noa GFC have extended their perfect start to the Finance Trust Bank Women Elite league with a hard fought 1-0 victory over UCU Lady Cardinals.

The thrilling top of the Elizabeth group table clash was held on Saturday, the 9th November at IUIU Kabojja Grounds.

Pacy forward Sylvia Kabene was the day’s hero. The Crested Cranes forward scored in the 45th minute to give St. Noa the lead which eventually turned into the winner.

After her brace in her first season appearance for St. Noa GFC against Royal Dreamers in Bushenyi, Sylvia Kabene scored the only goal as her side piped UCU Lady Cardinals in a slim 1-0 win.

UCU Lady Cardinals dominated the physical second half contest but the “Belles With Goals” held on to grab all the three points.

The win becomes St. Noa GFC’s third in three games. St. Noa now tops Elizabeth group with nine (9) points.

In the process, St. Noa have scored four goals and conceded zero after match day three.

Meanwhile, UCU Lady Cardinals who beat Kawempe Jr. Team 2-0 in match-day two remained on three points in two games.

In the other day’s game, Asubo Ladies FC rioted over hosts Ateker WFC, winning 6-0. Miriam Ayoo aka “Bajaaji” scored a hat-trick in the game.

Alima Nambafu, Phiona Arach and Marggie Nankumbi were also on target for Asubo Ladies FC.

The win bounced back Asubo to winning ways after their 1-0 loss to Highway Ladies in Mbale in match day two.
