Maroons FC register a hard fought slim 2-1 win over URA FC in a highly contested match day eight tie.

The game was held in Luzira Grounds on Saturday, the 9th November 2024.

Mujahid Ogama scored in the second minute to send the Prison warders into a 1-0 lead.

Junior Omirambe added another via a penalty on 62 minutes as Maroons to seal a 2-1 victory in Luzira.

Bruno Bunyaga got URA’s consolation a minute later but Maroons held on for all three points.

The win moved Maroons to nine points and two places up to 11th, while URA are two places up in ninth on 11.

In their next games, URA FC will host Vipers SC at Nakivubo on 22nd November while Maroons will be away to Soltilo Bright Stars in Kavumba a day before.
