Kampala Queens secured a 2-0 victory over Amus College WFC at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo, thanks to goals from Shamusa Najjuma and Anita Namata.

Inside the first 10 minutes, defender Esther Namusoke’s long ball found Najjuma, who made a brilliant run and beat the goalkeeper to put the hosts ahead.

Najjuma celebrated with a tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo’s signature “Siu” gesture.

Anita Namata doubled the lead in the 42nd minute, courtesy of Najjuma’s assist.

Namata’s first touch inside the box was exceptional, and she easily slotted the ball past the goalkeeper.

In the second half, substitute Zaitun Namaganda bolstered the midfield, replacing Teddy Najjuma.

Shamirah Nalugya’s early shot was denied by goalkeeper Angella Adeke.

Kampala Queens dominated throughout but failed to extend their lead, with Najjuma wasting two glorious chances before being substituted due to injury.

This victory marked Kampala Queens’ second consecutive 2-0 win and third win of the season. It was also new head coach Asefa HaileGabreal’s first victory.

Kampala Queens now occupy second place, just one point behind table leaders Kawempe Muslim.

Amus College WFC suffered their second loss of the season and sit fourth.

In their next fixtures, Kampala Queens visit Lady Doves on Saturday, November 16, while Amus College WFC host Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC the following day.
