On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Finance Trust Bank, the official sponsor of the women’s league, presented the October awards.

At the event held at Twed Plaza, the head office of Finance Trust Bank, Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC duo won the coach and player of the month awards respectively.

Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC head coach Ayub Khalifah was named the best coach for October, pocketing UGX 500,000 as the cash prize.

Khalifah beat Amus College WFC’s coach Faridah Bulega and Lady Doves tactician Meddy Nyanzi.

His team played and won all four games in October without conceding a goal. In the process, Kawempe scored eight (8) goals.

Kawempe currently lead the Super League table with 13 points in five games. They are unbeaten in five games after their 1-1 draw with Amus College.

Meanwhile, Nambuya beat her teammate Agnes Nabukenya and Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC’s Auki Kigongo to be named the player of the month.

Nambuya kept four clean sheets in four games in October and helped her team win all of them. She also pocketed UGX 500,000.

Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC currently top the table with 13 points from five games, remaining undefeated.

It is believed that the league’s sponsor will continue to host monthly awards, a new package not initially included in the sponsorship deal.
