Lugazi FC 1-1 Mbale Heroes FC

Under Asaph Mwebaze’s stewardship, Mbale Heroes played to a 1-1 draw at Lugazi’s home in Mabira Forest.

This was Asaph Mwebaze’s first game in charge of newbies Mbale Heroes after his official unveiling on his return for the second stint at the club.

Gideon Etou put the Surgeons in the lead in the 10th minute after Lugazi’s goalkeeper fumbled with a headed effort on goal.

However, 28 minutes later, Derrick Mwanje equalized for the home side as they shared points on the evening.

Lugazi remains bottom of the table with 2 points, tied with BUL and Bright Stars in the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, Mbale Heroes moved to 4 points with their first away point and are now 12th.

Lugazi will visit Express, who drew 2-2 with Police at Kavumba, while Mbale Heroes will host current table leaders KCCA at Lugogo.

Matchday five of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League will continue on Thursday evening with two games.

Wakiso Giants FC will host Vipers SC in the famous Wakiso derby, whilst, Maroons FC make a short trip to NEC FC the Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.
