St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana and GS Marie Reine, Musanze of Rwanda are the 2024 5X5 Girls Basketball finalists.

In a repeat of group B tie of girls 5X5 basketball, St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana will face off with Rwanda’s GS Marie Reine, Musanze in the 21st edition of Federation of East Africa Schools Sports Association (FEASSA) Games tomorrow morning.

 

The two sides who were in the same group reached the final after their semi-final triumphs this evening.

For starters, St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana eased past Kenya’s Buruburu Girls in a 71-34 semi-final victory.

Meanwhile, GS Marie Reine, Musanze of Rwanda laboured past defending champions St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School – Kitende winning 68-61 in an epic semi-final tie.

The two finalists met in group B fixtures earlier on this week. St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana won the contest with a landslide score of 83-48.

The highly anticipated mouthwatering final contest will be held tomorrow, Monday the 26th August 2024 at Amus College School.

This will be St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana’s third historical final.

They reached and won their first title in 2019 Arusha, Tanzania edition before losing to Kitende in the 2022 final in Arusha still.

Meanwhile, St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School – Kitende will battle Buruburu in the third place classification duel.

The two sides were in group A. St. Mary’s Kitende won the group tie with a landslide score.
