The three time champions Mawokota have sacked their head Steven Bogere and his entire coaching staff after a series of lame results.

The development comes at a time when the team had just lost their home tie against Busujju on Sunday, the 11th August 2024.

“Mawokota executive has unanimously decided to part ways with Head Coach Bogere Steven and his Coaching Staff with immediate effect.

This decision has been made after careful consideration and a thorough review of the team’s performance.

We appreciate Coach Bogere’s contributions to the team during his tenure, including his dedication and passion for the sport.

However, the club has decided to go in a different direction to achieve our goals and ambitions.

The search for a new head coach is already underway, and we will announce the appointment in due course”. Read a statement

Currently in the sixth (6th) place in Masengere Group, Mawokota have won just one game drawing three and losing two.

Mawokota have won the Masaza Cup tournament thrice in 2005, 2007 and 2013.
