Vipers SC have reached the FUFA Super 8 final after their 1-0 win against Uganda Cranes Select Team.

The Semi-final duel was held on Sunday, the 11th August 2024 at Philip Omond Stadium in Lugogo, Kampala.

Allan Okello’s late show close range strike awarded the Kitende based club victory.

With the game destined for a penalty shootout, Okello came up with the dramatic winning goal poking home from close range in added time.

Despite sealing the victory late, Vipers SC looked a better side on the evening. The Venoms had missed many scoring chances.

Nikola Kavazovic’s men will face off with reigning FUFA Super 8 champions BUL FC in the final.

BUL FC through Pascal Ngoobi’s strike won 1-0 against Kitara FC in the other semi-final held on Saturday evening.

Uganda Cranes Select team and Kitara FC will lock horns in the third place classification game.

However, Kitara will first turn focus on the CAF Confederation Cup Preliminary stage fixture against Al Hilal SC Benghazi on Friday.
