The management of Express FC will launch their new home with an international friendly match against Kenya’s AFC Leopards.

The launch of the new home Hamz Stadium – Nakivubo is on Friday 16th August 2024.

The day will start with a friendly match between Express and SC Villa fans. On the same event, the unveiling of both playing, technical and administrative staff will be done.

Tickets for the event will go for 20,000 (ordinary) VIP is 50,000 and VVIPs will pay 100,000 to attend.

“Nakivubo gives the comparative advantage between proximity and places of fans work.

Nakivubo is in the business center where most of our fans work. It will give us the advantages in attendance.

Since Nakivubo gives us the best ambiance of the night life which we want to take advantage of. It’s accessibility is easy to everyone .

We want put back this club to where it was and deserves to be. We have fished back almost all our historical leaders and fans”. CEO Ashraf Miiro Nsubuga.

Express FC returns to Nakivubo since their departure in 1990. Their first match at Wankulukuku came on Thursday, 26th January in 1991.

On that day, Express FC played Kenya’s Livertex. Express FC won 1-0.

However, the stadium management has stood its ground to ban Alcohol from entering the stadium. Only soft drinks and tea shall be allowed in the facility.

Express FC finished 12th on 32 points in the 2023/24 season. SC Villa are the reigning champions.
