It was a thrilling boxing night at the New Club Obligato in Kampala during week two of Uganda Boxing Champions season three.
For starters, Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) lined up nineteen (19) fights on Saturday, the 8th June 2024 at New Club Obligato.
The main fight was between lightweight boxers Ibrahim Kemis of Mutajazzi Boxing club and Brian Ssekyejwe (Kololo).
Mutajazzi Boxing Club’s Kemis Ibrahim won the thrilling and highly contested bout in a 4-1 split score against Sekyejwe Brian in the Elite 57Kgs.
Peninnah Amoding of Nakawa Boxing Club labored past Lazira Nakagira of Brawn Boxing Club in a 4:3 split in the Flyweight (Youths 52kgs.)
The most interesting female bout was between Zebra Boxing Club’s Jalia Nali and Brenda Muduwa.
The Elite Bantamweight (54Kgs) clash ended 4:1 by split announcement in favor of Jalia Nali.
Sparks Boxing Club’s light middleweight Musulube Stephen grabbed a technical knockout over Ssenyonga Kenneth after a RSC decision in round 3.
Another RSC decision win was for Ochien Samuel of KCCA against Lukanga’s Sentamu Shafick. The Referee stopped the contest in the 4th round.
Meanwhile, welterweight boxer Kasujja Richard of Lukanga Boxing Club won 4:1 by split against Kanabi Alex of KCCA.
Weekend three of Boxing Champions League Season three will be early next month.
