St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana 2-0 Hope SS Watoto Bira

Rines SS 3-0 Aiden College 

St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana will lock horns with Rines SS in the Wakiso Region girls football qualifiers at the ongoing Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Fresh Dairy Games.

St. Noa won Watoto (Hope SS) Bira 2-0 in the semi-finals to storm final.

Imelda Kasemire and Sylvia Kabene scored a goal each for St. Noa to reach their sixth Wakiso final in seven attempts.

The Zana based school won AGRO-LINK by 5-1 in the quarter-finals.

Sylvia Kabene grabbed a brace and a goal from Imelda Kasemire, Kamiyat Naigaga and Rebecca Nyakakye for St. Noa.

Meanwhile Rines SS eliminated Aiden College in a 3-0 semi-final win to book a final date with St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana.

Trinah Nakawuki and a brace from Lilian Nabukeera saw Rines progress to final.

Aiden College eliminated two time champions and holders Taggy High by 4-3 via penalties following a goalless normal time draw.

In the quarter-finals, Rines SS won 02-00 over Kakungulu High School. Patricia Nakato Nanyanzi and Immaculate Odulu scored for Rines.

St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana recorded maximum (18) points in six group D games.

In the process, the Zana based side scored 33 times against one.

Knockout and group stage combined, St. Noa have scored a record 40 goals and conceded only twice.

Last year’s semi-finalist Rines SS topped ground C on maximum 15 points. They scored 18 goals against zero to reach quarter-finals.

In the knockout stage, the have scored five against zero

The finals will be held on Sunday, the 14th at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso City.
